Our amazing assembly performers are taking a break.
During the May half-term, five students proudly represented the school at the NSEA Championships at Hickstead, competing in Dressage, Show Jumping and Arena Eventing during what was reported to be the hottest weekend on record this year.
A special mention goes to Eve, Kaila and Georgiana, who made school history by becoming the first students to compete in Dressage at the Championships, all producing excellent performances.
In the 80–85cm Arena Eventing, Robert, Kaila, Georgiana and Eve all rode superbly, with Robert, our youngest team member, finishing in the top 50% of riders. In the 90–95cm class, Georgiana, Heidi and Eve battled the challenging conditions, with Heidi narrowly missing a top sectional placing after an unlucky pole, while Eve delivered an outstanding round to finish 7th and secure a place on the Top 10 podium.
In Show Jumping, Georgiana, Heidi, Eve and Kaila all produced strong rounds in the 90–95cm class, with Heidi finishing just outside the top 10 in 13th place. In the 90cm Show Jumping, Heidi jumped brilliantly to claim 6th place, while Eve was unlucky to pick up a pole.
All of our riders demonstrated excellent sportsmanship, behaviour and determination throughout the event, representing the school with great pride. Congratulations to everyone involved on a fantastic achievement.
