Updates…
Romilly P raised £115 by doing a gig for EDF on 13th June. She played guitar and sang her original songs for an hour to EDF employees at their summer festival at the waterside country barn near Wellington. She also has a 45 minute spot at the Uffculme Real Ale festival on 4th July, which she will be paid £50 for towards her fundraising.
Great work Romilly! Thanks :)
The uffculme staff team organised a nonuniform day and Activities fair, last week, with the help of tutors and pupils, raising £796. You can view the photos on our social media pages.
Some great fundraising news from the upper Culm team (Hemyock, Culmstock and Clayhidon); the pupils worked from 9am - 5pm on Sunday 26th April for their first group fundraising event; they were helping out Sportiva Events with the Taunton Flyer cycle event, providing refreshments. They received over £150 in donations from the cyclists themselves as well as £300 from the event organisers who were impressed with their efforts. They have also been painting local fences raising a further £150! A total of £602.31 raised by this team so far! Well done #UpperCulm!
Elsie H has been fundraising as part of the Dunkeswell, Willand, Uffculme and Taunton group. She has raised £60 running a ‘tallest sunflower competition’. What a lovely, original idea Elsie - well done and thank you for your efforts and funds!
Mary G and Harriet G’s fundraising cake sale took place at OJ Gym in Tiverton. They were there supporting the Hyrox Sim event and providing cakes to spectators and competitors. All the cakes were greatly appreciated and the girls did a fantastic job serving cake from 8am till 2pm and raised an amazing £230!
Y7 & 8 Disco
The Tiverton branch began their fundraising by organising an end-of-term festival themed disco for Y7 & 8 pupils. Thanks to all student helpers (supported by Karen, Lindsay E, Louise, Annabelle and Sarah) for arranging the venue, ticket sales, DJ, Photo booth and snacks - all contributing to a great evening. Scroll down to see some photo booth pics in our new gallery.
A total of £740! Bravo #TeamDISCO!
Group leaders, Miss Stone, Mr Burt and Mrs Groves have launched Fun Fridays - where pupils have been selling ice pops on hot days. This has already raised £300 to date. They have something planned for every Friday for the Summer term so look out on the school socials for our lunchtime events. Pupils have also been crafty and creative for their November Craft Fair stall. This takes place after school in the Art rooms on Wednesdays.
BINGO!
It really was a great turn out at the recent Bingo night at Willand Football club - so HUGE thanks to everyone who came along to support, or to those donating prizes, baked cakes and especially to the organisers from the Willand group, who really put on a great fundraiser. £707.50 raised overall!
Massive shout out to Vanessa, Kim and Hannah for their hugely successful fundraiser at the dance show, selling roses for the performers: a wonderful £240!
Well done and thank you to all involved :)
Also, well done to Lois E and Tom P for their local pet sitting efforts, donating a hard earned £30 over the Easter holidays. Thanks both.
Also thanks to Mrs Poortman and Tom P for raising £135 selling a range of tomato seedlings and young plants to teachers. A special mention to Mr Addy who kindly donated many of his own plant collection to raise addtional funds for the group pot. It all adds up!
