Our amazing performers this week have been Alfie L. and Annabel H.
In his recent grading for Taekwondo, Stanley F achieved his red belt. He now has only one more belt to get before he can go for his black belt. Well done Stanley!
Uffculme NSEA members headed to Bicton for the county show jumping qualifiers last weekend.
Archie C has a lovely double clear in the 70-75 class with his new pony Anna.
80 team of Archie C, Eve N, Kaila S and Georgiana B all rode well and narrowly missed out on a qualifying spot.
90 team of Abi C, Kaila S and Eve N rode their socks off to be crowned Devon champions and qualify for Hickstead nationals in May. An extra thanks goes to Eve for stepping up on the day to make a team, riding her Mum’s special event horse Finley
1M class saw Abi C and Phoebe C competing as individuals and unfortunately both taking a unlucky pole
110 class Phoebe C rode a fantastic round just taking a pole one from home.

Year 10 Reports and Online Progress Meetings
Year 10 Spring Reports were emailed to parents and carers before half-term. They are also available on the Arbor Parent Portal. If you have not activated your Arbor account, please do so using the instructions on the school website at Arbor — Uffculme School
If you have not received your child’s report or are having problems activating your Arbor Parent Account, please contact Liz Mitchell at mitchelll@uffculmeschool.bep.ac.
The online booking system for the Year 10 Progress Meetings, which are on Thursday 5 March from 4.15-7pm, will be open until 12 noon on 5th March. The system can be accessed either at https://uffculme.schoolcloud.co.uk/ or by clicking on the ‘Parents’ tab at the top of our homepage and selecting ‘Progress Meeting Bookings’.
World Book Day
All students will be given a £1 book token by their Tutors to celebrate World Book Day on March 5th. Students can swap their World Book Day £1 token for any of the World Book Day £1/€1.50 books or get £1 off a full price title of any full price book or audiobook (as long as the book or audiobook costs at least £2.99). Local participating booksellers include ‘Bookshop by the Blackdowns’ in Wellington, ‘Liznojan’ in Tiverton, ‘Waterstones’ in Exeter and Taunton or some of the large supermarkets.
Last chance for tickets for the European Outdoor Film Tour

All proceeds from the screening will go to the Uffculme School Trust, which provides financial assistance with extra curricular activities for Uffculme School students. You can find out more about the trust here
Keep US Moving - Minibus Fundraiser update
A huge thank you to our wonderful Uffculme School PTFA, who started our fundraising with a generous contribution of £2,500; getting us to 10% of our goal straight away!
We have received £3,012 from student sponsorship and parental donation - thank you to everyone who has contributed so generously.
We have been lucky enough to secure £10,500 from other donations, which brings our total so far to £16,012.
We are amazed at the generosity of the school and wider community. Every donation brings us closer to our goal!
The Annual General Meeting for our Parents, Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA) will take place on Wednesday 4 March at 6pm. We will meet in the Crush Hall for drinks and nibbles and then commence the meeting at around 6.15. Whether you would love to join the committee, help out at the annual craft fair or are simply a bit curious, please do come along and join us!
