Legal Apprenticeship Masterclass
Thinking about pursuing a legal career? Join the virtual legal apprenticeships masterclass run by LawCareers.Net on Thursday 12 February at 3:00pm.
The legal apprenticeships masterclass, will discuss what it means to enter the legal profession as an apprentice, the qualifications required to enrol on an apprenticeship and the benefits and challenges of qualifying as a solicitor or paralegal via this route.
With apprentices and/or recruiters from top law firms taking part in the discussion, this is your students’ chance to come along and ask their questions.

Battle of The Bands
On the 3rd Feb, Skeleton Trampoline (one of our year 11 bands) travelled to Barnstaple to compete in the Devon Music Education Hub Battle of the Bands. They performed fantastically and were up against 4 other schools. The competition was tough, and although they did not go through to the next round, they got some incredible feedback from the judging panel Michael Wright (Music Educator, music podcaster and freelance Musician) and Jo Loosemore from BBC Devon. We are super proud of them. You can catch most of them in School of Rock next week!
Non uniform day on Friday 13th February in aid of Uffculme School Trust. Suggested donation of £1. Advance Payment can be on ParentPay or cash can be handed to tutor on the day.
Meet your PTFA!
The Annual General Meeting for our Parents, Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA) will take place on Wednesday 4 March at 6pm. We will meet outside The Venue for drinks and nibbles and then commence the meeting at around 6.15. Whether you would love to join the committee, help out at the annual craft fair or are simply a bit curious, please do come along and join us!
In the run up to the meeting we will be interviewing the current PTFA committee members to find out a bit about them, why they joined the PTFA and what they enjoy about it. Please see the PTFA page on the website for this week's interview with our Treasurer: Hilary Clements
