Uffculme School GCSE Results 2025
We are delighted to celebrate the proud achievements of the wonderful students at Uffculme School today. We would like to acknowledge the dedication and hard work shown by our students throughout their academic journey and it is clear that today’s GCSE examination results reflect the commitment of our students and staff in demonstrating ambition and determination. It is with great pride therefore that we are able to announce that approximately 80% of students attained a pass grade in both English and Maths with approximately 57% achieving a strong pass or higher in both subjects as well as a fantastic number of top grades.
Every year we not only celebrate this collective success, but also recognise the individual growth and progress made by each of our students, both inside the classroom and across their wider curricular endeavours all of which add up to quite incredible achievements. There have been some exceptional individual achievements across the whole ability range with many students exceeding their challenging target grades. Some of our top performing students this year include; Marnie Johnson who attained an astonishing nine Grade 9s and a Grade 8 as well as an A in Additional Maths; Jesse Aldridge who attained nine Grade 9s and a Grade 7 and an A in Additional Maths; Alfie Aldridge who attained six Grade 9s and four Grade 8s with an A in Additional Maths and Grace Maynard who attained six Grade 9s and 3 Grade 8s and a Grade 7. There were a number of students who made astonishing progress against the targets set for them, exceeding them by some very wide margins of nearly 3 whole grades, which is extremely hard to do, including Robyn Langford, Cara Leslie, Hannah Thrussell, Miles Douglas, Max James and Toby Arrowsmith.
Headteacher, Laura Jenkins, says "At Uffculme School, we could not be prouder of the achievements of our students today. Our staff and students work tirelessly to maximise the achievements and the time and dedication of pupils, parents and staff, in order to achieve these results, cannot be underestimated. I am delighted to see our students thrive under the direction of a dedicated and skilled staff and it is so rewarding to see this year group achieve the results they truly deserve. We are excited to see where the next steps in their journey take them and wish them every success for their futures. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank our parents for their unwavering support.”
Congratulations to all of our Year 11 students on their achievements today. We would like to wish all students the very best in their future ambitions.
